The Shirt Factory Gallery’s debut Juried Show of Small Works last year drew a capacity crowd, and this year’s edition is scheduled to open Friday April 4 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. that features an awards ceremony.
Entries of varied media have a maximum image size of 12 inches in any direction and maximum frame dimension of 16 inches.
The juror is John Hampshire, a professional artist and art instructor at SUNY Adirondack.
Shirt Factory Gallery Coordinator Dave Francis said 68 artists submitted 168 works in the competitive show that features prizes of up to $250.
“This show is back by popular demand,” he said. “The artwork is outstanding.”
Prizes from local enterprises — including Advokate, BJ’s Artworks, and Samantha’s Café & Catering — are also to be bestowed.
The Gallery is located on the first floor of the Shirt Factory Artists Complex at the corner of Lawrence and Curran streets. Attendees are to enter the loading dock entrance and proceed to Suite 120.
