Last week's page-one photo, slugged "Old Timer", pictured a 1929 Chevrolet stake truck-sans stakes-owned by Bill McQuillan on Sperry Road in Cornwall. Here's another view of the vintage vehicle. The truck rolled off the G.M. assembly line shortly before the October 1929 stock market crash that preceded in the Great Depression. Thanks to the following astute readers for sending us their truck observations: Peter Campono, John Gereau, Chuck Kelly, Susan Lapworth, Mike Merrill, Joe Monkofsky, Lucielle Williams, and Kent Wright.
