NORTH CREEK The sudden closing of Caseys North, a popular North Creek restaurant, left many to speculate on what would become of the Route 28 property as the ski season approached. Despite the rumors, and a recent string of area business closings, the property has re-opened under new ownership and new name. After barely a month in business, Kelly Os Restaurant & Bar has already started to develop their reputation for great food and service, amidst a traditional Adirondack atmosphere. Since opening for business, co-owners Kelly Hayes ONeil and Angela Cugini have nothing but good things to say about their experiences so far. We had a great Christmas week which was right after we opened, and the snow has really helped us out, says ONeil. Weve had a lot of positive feedback from customers, and the food has been excellent. Not one to forge ahead blindly, ONeil has applied her 18-years in the industry by staying attentive to customer feedback and suggestions for improvement. One of the early suggestions we had was for a lite-fare menu which we did two days later, ONeil said. Weve had great feedback and I ask everybody what they ate and how it was. Confident that all the initial bumps associated with a new business have been worked out, Kelly Os looks forward to establishing themselves as a favorite place to have lunch or dinner following a spectacular day on the slopes. I think the menu suites everyones needs, adds ONeil. We have wraps, paninis, club sandwiches, wings, and everything else you would expect. Its a quality menu that really meets everyones needs. We also have a separate dinner menu and the lite-fare menu is available at dinner too. A separate childrens menu is available and the restaurant features a full bar, highlighted by an Adirondack-style decor. On the weekends, Kelly Os offers live entertainment, and several special events are currently in the planning stages. For ONeil, purchasing the property and situating a business in North Creek was an obvious decision. I worked at Gore Mountain for 13 years and at the Copperfield Inn, she said. I know many people here, and Im very familiar with the area. We saw the amazing potential that this restaurant has and went from there.
