GLENS FALLS - A chamber music concert that includes a noted Canadian violinist Marc Szammer and Lake George native pianist Carol Minor is set for 7:30 p.m. Sunday July 25 at the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls.
The concert is one of a series of summer chamber music concerts presented by the Summerland Music Society, which is now in its premier season of programs in Warren County.
The performance includes Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra principal clarinetist Christopher Bush, and selections by composers Brahms, Piazzolla, Milhaud and William Grant Still. Tickets, available at the door, are $15 for adults, and $10 for students or seniors.
Minor performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. She has appeared in recitals in New York, Boston, London, Taiwan and Canada.
Recent venues include London's Regent Hall, Kaosiung County Hall in Taiwan. An avid interpreter of contemporary compositions, Minor has worked closely with both emerging and established composers.
Minor currently teaches at Hackley School in Tarrytown, NY, and she's served on the faculty of a variety of music schools. She is the Artistic Director of Summerland Music Society.
