LAKE GEORGE - A series of three presentations on wellness will be offered this month at Caldwell-Lake George Library. All three programs are free and begin at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday April 14, the series begins with "Laughter Is the Best Medicine," a program that describes how humor and laughter can help ease stress and improve one's health. Linda Manzo of the Alzheimer's Association will present the program, funded by a Charles R. Wood Foundation grant.
On Monday April 26, the series continues with "Keeping Fit In Later Years," which describes the importance of staying active, offers tips for safe exercises and limitations on certain activities, and presents guidelines for exercises and achieving cardiovascular fitness. The lecture is presented by a representative of WestonPaxxon Physical Therapy.
On Wednesday April 28 will be "Maintain Your Brain," -a one-hour, interactive discussion about brain-healthy behaviors and how to delay or manage some of the risk factors associated with Alzheimer's disease. All are welcome to these programs. Call the library at 668-2528 to register.
