SCHROON LAKE The Town of Schroon Lions Club will host its annual prime rib dinner Saturday, Oct. 20, at Terrios Carriage House Restaurant, Route 9 in Schroon Lake. Dinner guests will be seated at their tables 5-8 p.m. Dinner will include salad, rolls and butter, prime rib, green beans, homemade mashed potatoes, dessert and coffee. This year the Lions of Schroon Lake need the communitys help more than ever. The rainout at our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Cook Shack at the Fourth of July festivities, leaves us with with a challenge to replenish our charitable funds before the holidays, said Lion Patti Mehm. Please join us on Oct. 20 as we serve you and together we all help the local community with dinner proceeds supporting the Holiday food basket program, Lifeline dialers and scholarships for our graduating college bound students, Mehm said. The donation for advanced ticket purchases is $17 or $20 at the door. Tickets can be obtained from any Schroon Lake Lions Club member, at Friedman Realty, The Towne Store and also at Terrios directly. People can also call club secretary, Bette Manley, at 532-7577 for advance tickets. Tickets for the annual Schroon Lake Lions Club Ice Out event will also be available at the door.
