RETN will present a collection of short videos created and produced by local students. Youre invited to RETN/VCAM studios Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10:30 a.m.noon, to screen a series of award-winning school projects and summer camp videos made by budding videographers. RETNs Saturday morning matinee showcase is part of Burlingtons South End Arts & Business Association Art Hop and features work by students ranging in age from elementary school to college. All students have attended or are currently attending schools in Burlington, Colchester, Essex, and South Burlington. Local media centers like RETN Channel 16, VCAM Channel 16, and CCTVs Channel 17, along with a growing number of local schools, are training students and community members in new media skills while providing access to the tools necessary to be more civically engaged.
