WARRENSBURG On Jan. 18, 2008 at about 1 a.m. a Warren County Sheriffs Patrol unit observed a 1994 Honda pass a stop sign on River Street in the Town of Warrensburg. The car was stopped and the operator fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Garry Bovee Jr., age 28 of Gansevoort NY was apprehended and found to be in possession of a large quantity of cocaine. Bovee was charged with the B felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Driving while Intoxicated, and several other vehicle and traffic law violations. Bovee who is currently on New York State parole was held at the Warren County Correctional Facility pending his arraignment in the Warrensburg Town Court. The cocaine seized from Bovee has a street value of approximately $1,200 to $1,400 in this area. The incident was investigated by Patrol Officer T.M. Combs and Investigator Kibby French with assistance from other member of the Warren County Sheriffs Patrol Division and a car from the New York State Police.
