PLATTSBURGH - Meadowbrook Healthcare is beginning a revamped volunteer program specifically designed to meet the needs of individual volunteers, allowing them to receive the maximum amount of personal gratification in their volunteer roles.
Volunteers will be required to fill out an application and complete an interview with the program coordinator. The process will insure appropriate candidates are chosen and matched with job descriptions that fit the needs of the individual volunteer and the facility. All volunteer candidates will be provided with training prior to beginning their new volunteer position, including a thorough tour of the facility, explanation of job description, and review of all emergency procedures and policies.
Volunteers will be offered a number of benefits as a Meadowbrook volunteer, including invitations to social functions within the facility, free flu shots, and free beverages and snacks during their working shift.
Those interested in becoming a volunteer should contact volunteer coordinator Vicki Marking at 563-5440, ext. 168 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
