Middlebury’s “Bollywood” Hadippa Dancers will join other local performers at the Middlebury’s Got Talent Show Aug. 27-28. This year’s show sponsor is the National Bank of Middlebury.
You never what talented person is standing next to you downtown. That person may just be the star of the next Middlebury’s Got Talent show. The Town Hall Theater has become the Middlebury’s unofficial annual talent scout and there’s a lot of fun in the process of discovering the next local star—best of all, you can participate or be in the audience. This year’s return of Middlebury’s Got Talent at the Town Hall Theater Aug. 27-28.
The popular show has become an annual event at THT.
“I never know what to expect,” said emcee Douglas Anderson, “but it’s always wonderful.”
A partial list of this year’s performers includes Tony Cacciatore, Bucky Douglas, Gretchen Farrar, Nick Marshall, Emily Beattie, Jessica Della Pepa, Frank Wright, and 12-year old Dona Gilbert.
Returning from last year’s show are the Hadippa Dancers, a group of local women who have mastered the art of Bollywood dance.
“They brought down the house last year,” said Anderson. “You’d think they were professional dancers, but it’s just a group of local women who love this beautiful and sensual form of dance.”
The Hadippa Dancers are led by Jennifer Bruch.
Once again, Chuck Miller will put together a hot band to back up the singers and keep things lively.
Middlebury’s Got Talent will be performed twice, on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 28 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are only $10 and may be purchased at www.townhalltheater.com or by calling 802-382-9222. You can also visit the THT box office or pay at the door at the time of the performance.
