Rutland Regional Medical Center executives and nursing staff celebrated big news at a staff gathering last week. RRMC earned a special accolade as the American Nurses Credentialing Center's "Magnet" hospital. Only 6 percent of hospitals in the U.S. have received "Magnet" status, the highest achievement obtained in professional nursing. RRMC also received Gov. Jim Douglas' Award for Performance Excellence, the first hospital in Vermont to receive the award.
