MIDDLEBURY The MUHS Class of 1958, with 61 participants, celebrated their 50th Reunion with a four-event weekend. At their Reunion Banquet, the class presented a woodprint, The Milkyway, by Sabra Field, to Middlebury Union High School faculty and staff, past and present, in appreciation of the guidance, encouragement and inspiration, given to students preparing to go into the world and reach for the stars. Alumni officer Dorothy N. Wilkins said from the comments of classmates, it was so evident that everyone greatly appreciated the influence teachers had upon their lives. We want to say thank you, and to provide a visual reminder to MUHS faculty and staff, that their influence is immeasurable. John Wesley, teacher and class advisor to the Class of 1958, and Mark Mooney recently retired MUHS teacher, accepted the gift for MUHS. Unable to be present, teacher and advisor to the Class of 58, Mrs. William Cunningham, was also thanked and presented a gift from the class. Also, at the banquet, Beryl Sawyer Notman, reunion chair, was inducted into the MHS-MUHS Hall of Fame. Ms. Wilkins, 1994 Hall of Fame inductee and Class of 1958, made the presentation to Ms. Notman. Also present was Howard Kelton, 1987 Hall of Fame inductee and member of the 1958 class.
