Hanukkah Party at Red Barn in Springfield
The Red Barn, the Springfield arm of Life Fellowship of Charlestown, NH, is sponsoring a Hanukkah party at the Red Barn on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy this interfaith party when we will light Menorahs and celebrate with many interesting family activities and dinner.

Wreath Laying Ceremony for Local Veterans
The Springfield Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 771 of Springfield will be holding a wreath laying ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 12 at noon at Memorial Park.
This wreath laying ceremony is open to the public and will be conducted simultaneously with the ceremony at Arlington and other participating locations across our Nation. This event is a wonderful way to honor our veterans who have given so much to us. Please join us for this momentous occasion.

Springfield Elks Club Annual Hoop Shoot
The Springfield Elks Lodge #1560 will be holding there annual basketball Hoop Shoot at the Springfield Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 12.
Elk Hoop Shoot chairman, Victor Baskevich announced this week that the shoot will commence with sign ups at 8:30 a.m. with the 8 and 9 years olds shooting first. That will be followed by the 10 & 11 years olds and the 12 & 13 year olds shooting last.
Please note, any boy or girl is age 7 on April 1, 2010, contestant is too young to participate. If the contestant will be age 14 on April 1, 2010, contestant is too old to participate.
All contestants may sign up ahead of Dec. 12, at the community center in Springfield.
Sing In Christmas Caroling in Perkinsville
Come "sing in" the solstice and the Christmas season in Perkinsville on Sunday, Dec. 20.
Meet at the Green in Perkinsville village at 4 p.m. Bring a flashlight and dress warmly!
We'll stroll the village singing all the seasonal favorites (songbooks provided) for about an hour and then end back at the Christmas tree on the Green for a final song and some hot chocolate.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church Craft Fair
St. Mark's Episcopal Church on 33 Fairground Road in Springfield will be holding a Free Holiday "Make Your Own" Craft Fair on Sunday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Donations will be collected for Share the Warmth.
Free make your own craft projects for all ages.
Book In Hand Story Time at Town Library
The Springfield Town Library will present a three week series of Book-in Hand Story Times for toddlers and preschoolers on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. through Dec. 16.
With the "Book in Hand" approach to story time, each child in the group has their own copy of the book being read aloud.
These story times are funded by grants from the Winnie Belle Learned Fund and Ashgate Publishing.
