American Legion Auxiliary Breakfast
The Chester American Legion Auxiliary will host a breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 14 from 8-10 a.m. at the American Legion on Route 103 South.
The cost is $6.
Late Winter Services at Stone Church
The late winter Sunday services planned for Chester's Old Stone Church, Route 103\North Street, are:
Feb. 14: On the Side of Love - led by Reverend Telos Whitfield.
Unitarian Universalist congregations around the country are offering services that explore ways to advocate marriage equality and justice for marginalized people.
Feb. 21: Thank You, President Sinkford - presented by Lay Leader Sylvan Groth. This service will look back at the eight years Reverend William Sinkford led the Unitarian Universalist Association and what his example has meant to the member churches and individuals.
Feb. 28: The Solace of Silence - led by Reverend Whitfield.
This service will offer reflections from Sara Maitland's A Book of Silence and from other stories, ancient and modern, where people are renewed, terrified, and changed by what silence can offer.
March 7: Devotion - A Practice Across Faiths - led by Reverend Whitfield.
The Sufi mystics, the monks and nuns of the Catholic and Buddhist traditions, and others spanning faith traditions, practice devotion. This service will explore the important role that devotion plays in spiritual life and how it might be present in modern lives.
Services begin at 9:30 a.m. and are followed by refreshments and conversation downstairs. Childcare for infants and toddlers and programming for school-age children are provided.

Winter Carnival Breakfast at Masons
The Masons in Chester are kicking off the Winter Carnival by serving a breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Masonic Temple from 7 to 10 a.m. which will consist of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, juice and coffee.
The cost is only $5 which includes tax and tip. Proceeds help the building fund.
