There will be H1N1 Flu shot Clinics, free for Vermont residents that are older than 36 months of age at Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center at 105 Chester Road in Springfield on the following dates: Feb. 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m, Feb. 10, 3-6 p.m., Feb. 20 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Book Sale at Holy Trinity
There will be a book sale on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 90 Park Street in Springfield.
All types of books, VCR tapes, cassettes, puzzles and religious articles. Prices are hardcovers for 50 cents, paperbacks and kids books are 25 cents. Other items as marked.

Library Hosts Mardi Gras Event

New Thought Vermont Meeting
New Thought Vermont, a spiritual group offering a practical path for health, prosperity and serenity will offer a service on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Unitarian Universalist Church in Springfield. VAULT Hosts Chocolate Tasting
Gallery at the VAULT is hosting a Chocolate Tasting on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1 until 5 p.m. Visitors can nibble on an assortment of fine chocolate morsels made by local artisans and chefs at this special pre-Valentine's Day event. Sign up on VAULT's gift registry. The suggested donation of $3 helps support VAULT's children's programs.

Springfield Library Receives Grant
State Librarian, Martha Reid, on behalf of the Winnie Belle Learned Fund of the Vermont Public Library Foundation, has announced a grant of $1,000 to the Springfield Town Library in Springfield
The library will use the funding to put together nature themed backpacks for children to borrow (like a book). Each "Explorer Backpack" will consist of books on a specific topic, a scientific tool, an activity sheet for children and parents, and a blank journal for recording observations.
Osher Program on Death of a Salesman
On Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Nolin Murray Center next to St. Mary's Catholic Church on Pleasant Street in Springfield, the Weston Playhouse Theatre Co. staff will present the Osher Lifelong Learning program titled, "An American Classic: Death of a Salesman."
Through readings, discussion and viewing a video section of a performance of the play, the group will explore Arthur Miller's classic tale of the American Dream. A haunting and powerful drama, "Death of a Salesman" is one man's reflections on his empty life and imperfect family.
This preview will highlight the Playhouse's next summer's production starring Christopher Lloyd.
Osher embership is $40 for the semester, non-members can attend individual lectures for $8.

A free Community dinner will be hosted by the North Springfield Baptist Church on Friday, Feb. 5, from 5-7 p.m. This is a pot luck style dinner that includes casseroles, baked beans, salads, desserts and beverages. Take out is available. The church is located at 69 Main Street in North Springfield.
