Oh, happy day! Twelve sacks on McNabb how sweet was that Big Blue victory? I keep telling everyone, the Giants defense will start to click, and then theyll be a dangerous team. I also like their schedule for the next several weeks, so they should keep pace with the Cowgirls. Boy I hate to admit it, but Romo looks a lot like a young Favre.
As for our picking contest, it was a tough week for most. Only three pickers came in with double-digit wins, including Deborah Aldous and your illustrious Managing Editor, John Gereau, who led the way with an 11-4 Week 4. Aldous and Gereau share the lead a full three games ahead of the rest of the pack.
There were plenty of upsets last week, none more surprising than Arizona over Pittsburgh well, maybe the Chiefs over Chargers. Oh, and Atlanta over Houston. And Buffalo over the Jets. There was definitely a disturbance in The Force.
Im confident the Dark Side will be silenced this week with some interesting match-ups on tap. The toughest pick for me is the Carolina\New Orleans game. The Saints cant really be as bad as they look and theyre taking on a beat-up Panthers squad. Im taking New Orleans at home, and probably wont pick them again for the rest of the season if they lose.
Speaking of beat-up, nothing would please me more than to see the decimated Bills crush the Cowgirls on Monday night. Alas, the odds of that are, well, lets say slim. And what about the San Diego/Denver game? Can Norv get his team back to 2006 form? From what Ive seen so far, probably not. Especially not in Denver.
Im excited about this weeks battle in the Meadowlands, being a fan of both New Jersey teams, but my allegiance, of course, is with the New York Football Giants!
