The Clinton County Fair starts July 17
Northern Adirondack Central FFA had another exceptional year at the annual Clinton County Fair in Morrisonville, according to faculty advisor Donald Jones.
“This year. it was extremely hot but the students worked extremely hard in the FFA show, and the open show,” said Jones. “In total, we had 21 youths competing in five classes of showmanship.”
Results from the NAC FFA Dairy Cattle Show this year are as follows:
Little Britches: Carly Premo, 1st; Tyler Trombley, 2nd. Novice Showmanship: Alexis Kerr, 1st; Tyler Premo, 2nd. Junior Showmanship: Alden Kerr, 1st; Aubrey Kerr, 2nd. Senior Showmanship: Austin Trombley, 1st; Kaleb Sample, 2nd. Master Showman: Kaleb Sample, 1st. Alumni Class winner and overall Grand Show Person was Tyler Nephew.

The Supreme Champion was a Holstein shown by Tyler Nephew and Reserve Supreme Champion was a Jersey shown by Austin Trombley.
The NAC FFA Beef Show saw Nicolle Brothers named Supreme Champion and Katee Brothers named Reserve Supreme Champion.
The classes for FFA members are Novice, Junior Showmanship, Senior Showmanship, and culmination in the Alumni Class with the overall Grand Show Person. Since 1983, the Taylor family has been sponsoring this trophy in memory of George and Robert Taylor. The Junior Showmanship trophy has been sponsored by North Star Acres Farm in memory of Patty Trombley.
Little Britches, a class open to youths too young to be an official Junior FFA member or who live out of the immediate area, accommodates families staying at the fair and who have cousins or other family visiting for the summer.
Jones thanked the NAC FFA sponsors this year, who included Richard and William Tulley of Farm Family Insurance, Feed Commodity, Dominic’s Hardware, Palmer Veterinary Clinic, Northern Adirondack Board of Education and Administration, Duprey’s Feed and Supplies, Labarre’s Store, Agri-Mark, Sample Farm, Premo-Vale Farm, Phil’s Chevrolet, Line Side Dairy, Brior Farm, A-MI-DA-SA Farm, Ace High Jersey, The Greenery, Cedar Creek Dairy, Lineside Dairy, and North Star Acres.
Jones also thanked Dale Chapin for judging the dairy show and Penny Pombrio and Tammy Brothers for organizing the beef show.
