CLINTONVILLE - With a combination of proven runners and a myriad of determined newcomers, the AVCS indoor track team should compete well in Section VII this year.
"I will be counting on seasoned athletes such as Raychel Agoney, James Crowningshield, Jena Finnegan, Sidney Flint, James Rock, Nick Sitts and Thomas Therrien to provide solid performances and good leadership for our younger and less experienced athletes," said Sean Ganter, the head coach for both the boys and girls teams. "I am excited for the season."
Flint, a senior, holds the Section VII girls outdoor track triple jump record of 35'9" and a school record of 16'7" in outdoor long jump, will no doubt be a points leader for the Patriot girls. Rock, a junior, is a proven performer on the boys side in the long jump, triple jump, and sprints.
Also competing will be seniors Michael Rankin; juniors Jaffrey Galusha, Christopher LaFontaine, Caitlin Blaise, Leann Cook, and Cassidy Howard; sophomores Elijah Fitzgerald, Jonathan LaDieu, Noah Lawrence, Ridge Perkette, Bryce Allen and Rebecca Newell; freshmen Zachary Crowningshield, Mollie Mashtare, Taylor Duncan, and Ashlee Estes; eighth-graders Jasmaine Hall, Noura Moussa, and Cassandra Snow; and seventh-graders Elijah Bushey, Nick Trumbull, Thorne Bola, Chandler LaMere, Madison Hall, and Ashley Guynup.
