They are affectionate, gentle, well mannered, and adapt exceptionally well to the home environment. They deserve a chance to enjoy life with a companion or family. Thousands of greyhounds are raced at tracks around the country. These dogs are often retired from racing and have nowhere to go. Fast Friends of New Hampshire, who has taken in more than 100 of these retired racers, seeks forever homes for these dogs. Greyhound Rescue of Vermont works closely with Fast Friends to provide blankets, toys, and food for the retired racers. A number of these dogs have been placed here in Vermont, Canada, and New York. Greyhound Rescue of Vermont and Fast Friends of NH are 501(c)(3) non profit organizations. The Fast Friends kennel is located on the grounds of Hinsdale Greyhound Park, Route 119 in Hinsdale, N.H. There are currently 115 greyhounds being cared for at the kennel. Greyhound Rescue of Vermont has been operating in Chittenden County since 1990. Greyhounds come in all shapes and sizes, male and female with a variety of colors. All dogs are spade\Neutered, up to date with vaccinations, and have had dental cleaning prior to being adopted.
