On Feb. 5, Vermont State Police were dispatched to 860 Lake Road in Panton for a family fight. Dispatch recorded the following information via 911: Amanda Coyle, 32, was punched in the face by her boyfriend Richard Ambrose, 39, after a domestic dispute, and that she was bleeding. After speaking with both parties and observing injuries to both, police said they found that a physical domestic incident did occur and that Richard Ambrose struck Amanda Coyle in the face with a closed fist during an argument. Coyle received medical attention from VARS and was ultimately transported to Porter Medical Center for treatment of her injuries; (broken nose). Ambrose had only a scrape on his fist. Ambrose was taken into custody and ultimately lodged on $10,000 cash/surety bond at the Chittenden County Correctional Center. Ambrose was ordered to appear in Addison District Court on Feb. 7 to answer the charge of domestic assault, in violation of Title 13 VSA 1042.
