RUTLAND - Founded in 2006, At Home Senior Care has become a respected, caring provider of non-medical services to many seniors living in the Rutland to Bennington corridor. The Rutland-based service's mission is to first assist seniors; it strives to help them remain independent at home.
According to At Home's President Mary Lou Morrisette, the service is now helping seniors in the Middlebury area.
According to Morrisette, At Home Senior Care "provides dependable, responsive care while ensuring that seniors maintain their quality of life, with dignity and independence, while aging at home."
Insured and bonded caregivers provide companionship, respite care for family caregivers, and home-helper services to seniors. At Home is a vital part of our local economy, too; it employs over 100 caregivers. At Home's caring helpers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Morrisette said the operation's services include meal preparation; companionship; medication reminders; grocery shopping; assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming; housekeeping services such as laundry, vacuuming and dusting; pet care; and escort services to appointments, church and synagogue, and social events.
At Home Senior Care offices are located at 173 Court St. in Middlebury and at 14 South Main St. on Rutland.
