Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Nick T. Corsones was in the news last year when he graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Now the airman is working on a college degree program through the U.S. Air Force.
Corsones completed an intensive, eight-week program last summer that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Corson joined at Air Force after graduating from Rutland Town High School.
