The Warrensburg Central Board of Education is asking community members for their input as it begins to prepare next year’s school budget.
Surveys were mailed to all district residents in early September, and the board has asked that surveys be completed and returned to the Superintendent’s office by Oct. 1.
The district is not tracking the identity of people who received a survey or are returning one. But the surveys are numbered to prevent submission of duplicates.
With a variety of options available for how to expend the budget, the board is seeking honest input from the community, school administrators said this week.
As of Sept. 15, nearly 300 surveys had been returned, out of about 3,000 mailed.
Once tabulated, the results of the surveys will be used to drive the budget discussion.
Those who haven’t yet completed their survey yet, are asked to do so now and send it in.
