Beekmantown 12, Moriah 8
Beekmantown held off Moriah to post a 12-7 win in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball play April 25.
The Eagles took a 7-0 lead, with Frank Buksa's bases-clearing triple the key to a five-run second inning.
Brandon Buksa gained the mound win for the Eagles.
Moriah made it interesting with a four-run third inning, but Beekmantown tacked on three more in the fourth to regain command.
Tim Breeyear and Jeff Greenough each had two hits for Moriah.
Schroon 14, ELCS 3
Matt Savarie fired a one-hitter to lead Schroon Lake past Elizabethtown-Lewis, 14-3, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action April 27.
Savarie fanned 10, working the first five innings.
Lance Paradis and Anthony Vanderwalker each doubled for the Wildcats.
Crown Point 11, Johnsburg 4
Crown Point exploded for seven runs in the third inning and beat Johnsburg, 11-4, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action April 27.
Tanner Macey and Nathan Tabor each had two runs batted in during the decisive rally.
Michael DuShane had two hits, scored twice and played a run for the Panthers.
Gabe Macey was the winning hurler, working in relief.
Westport/Keene 5, Crown Point 3
Crown Point fell to Westport/Keene, 5-3, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action April 29.
The Beagles plated the winning run in the sixth inning on a squeeze play. They added an insurance run on a balk.
Tanner Macey took the tough loss on the mound for the Panthers. striking out seven Beagles in a complete game effort.
Kevin Russell and Dylan Boyle each ripped home runs for the winners.
Schroon 8, Willsboro 4
Lance Paradis led Schroon Lake past Willsboro, 8-4, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference baseball action April 30.
Paradis fanned 10 and allowed four hits in notching the win.
Anthony Vanderwalker, Jeffrey Armstrong and Jeremy Tyrrell each had two hits for the Wildcats.
