CROWN POINT - A special Senior Citizens Day is planned for the senior citizens in the town of Crown Point on Tuesday, May 19. The event, sponsored by the Essex County Office for the Aging and Adirondack Community Action Programs, will be held at the Knapp Senior Citizens Building in Crown Point.
The doors will open at 10 a.m. and there will be a chicken cordon bleu dinner served at noon. There will be a variety of displays and activities for seniors to enjoy. Essex County's Public Health Department will be providing a blood pressure clinic. David Hobbs from the Crown Point Rescue Squad will be present to discuss health and safety issues.
For dinner reservations, call Jean Allen at the site Monday and Tuesday 10 a.m to 1:30 p.m., or on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Seniors may also call the Nutrition Program in Elizabethtown at 873-6457.
