The event is part of Northern Exposure, the company's upstate New York tour that travels from Saratoga Springs on up to Norwood with stops in Glens Falls, Indian Lake, North Creek and Lake Placid. ESDC will perform an electrifying evening of dance that features the lush and vibrant choreography of Artistic Director Ellen Sinopoli.
Filled with visual and aural delights, the program features selections from ESDC's repertory that are chosen to engage both dance aficionados and the uninitiated into the world of modern dance.
ESDC, resident company of The Egg, is now in its 18th season, sharing its work with diverse audiences through concerts, showcases, residencies, workshops and educational outreach, and seeking to enhance the appreciation, understanding and experience of contemporary performing arts.
"Exuberant, serendipitous, gutsy and soaring" and "magicians in motion" are just some of the expressions used to describe ESDC dancers who delight audiences of all ages with movement that celebrates rhythm, energy and musicality.
Upper Hudson Musical Arts provides the southeast Adirondack region with professional music performances year round at the Tannery Pond Community Center. Artists to be presented by the group in the coming season include the Saratoga Chamber Players, Aniko Szokody Piano Trios, fiddler Alasdair Fraser and the Tony Jenkins Jazz Trip.
