SHELBURNE One of south Chittenden Countys oldest family restaurants closed its doors last week. The Sirloin Saloon, located on Shelburne Road, was formerly owned by the Perry Restaurant Group. It was most recently owned and operated by California-based Paragon Restaurant Group. Other Sirloin Saloons, located in Rutland and Manchester, will remain open. A spokesperson for Paragon confirmed that only the Shelburne operation will close. The closing was blamed on the changing dining-out habits of customers coupled with the high price of gasoline.
