SOUTH ACWORTH, NH - The South Acworth Village Store is hosting a Music Festival on Saturday, May 29 from noon to 6 p.m. on the property adjacent to the store, Route 123-A in South Acworth, NH.
A variety of musical styles will be played by danceable local bands at this lively event. The Lon-Jons, Hanky Banister, Will Turner, Sharon Miller & Victor Brandt, The Actones, Wes Cubberly & Friends, Jerry Lynch & Don Place, and The Jack Bowes are some of the groups that will play during the Music Festival.
There will also be children's events such as face-painting, three-legged races and sack races.
Ann Firestone, president of Save Your Ass Long Ear Rescue, a non-profit donkey and mule rescue organization in South Acworth, will have a Kiss-My-Ass Booth for animal lovers who would like to nuzzle the soft fuzzy muzzle of a donkey.
Lots of good food will be available including Smokin' Joe's pulled pork sandwiches and other tasty offerings cooked on an outdoor grill. There will be a lemonade stand and lots of sweet treats at the bake sale.
Tents will be set up, so this is a rain or shine event. Admission is free but donations to the store are encouraged.
