STARKSBORO - Vermont's ride-sharing and public transportation program is being considered by many Vermont towns, where people often have a long commute to and from work. Now the Town of Starksboro has announced its receipt of an $8,500 taxpayer funded grant from the 2010 Municpal Park-and-Ride Grant Program through the Vermont Agency of Transportation to fully fund a Park and Ride.
Selectboard member Peter Marsh said he expects the project to be completed this summer.
The new lot will be located behind the Starksboro Town Office and will provide a minimum of 10 spaces.
Along with the parking surface the Starksboro design includes lighting, drainage, traffic flow and landscaping.
