SARANAC LAKE For families and survivors of strokes, brain injuries, and those with Alzheimer's or dementia, there is no greater coping strategy than a strong support system. Adirondack Medical Center is sponsoring a community forum to share strategies to help individuals deal more effectively and less stressfully with cognitive impairment. The public is invited to join Lea Bedore, Speech/Language Pathologist, and Linda Savarie, Registered Nurse, at information sessions covering prevention and wellness tips, as well as advice for managing the challenges of daily living. The forum will take place on Jan. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Redfield Room at Adirondack Medical Center. Admission is free and lunch will be provided. For more information or to register, please call Lea Bedore at 897-2251 or Linda Savarie at 897-2274.
