PLATTSBURGH - Tax forms for federal and state income taxes are now available at the Plattsburgh Public Library. The IRS no longer sends forms automatically to the taxpayer's home. The U.S. Post Office now suggests taxpayers come to the public library for forms.
Any tax forms not available at the library may be downloaded from the library's public access computers and printed out on our new copier in either black and white or color. Costs for black and white copies are 15 cents and 40 cents for full color copies.
The public library does not assist taxpayers with tax questions or interpretation but suggests consulting with the tax aid assistants at the senior center or consulting a tax accountant.
The library is located at 19 Oak St., and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, call 563-0921.
