SILVER BAY - Monday Aug. 2, state Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward spoke at Silver Bay YMCA, discussing political ethics and our perception versus how it plays out in reality within the political arena.
More than 40 people from Silver Bay and the community attended the lecture titled "Political Ethics in Government." Sayward represents the 113th Assembly District, which includes most all of Essex County, Hamilton County, Warren County and six towns in Saratoga County - Corinth, Day, Edinburg, Hadley, Moreau and Providence.
"It was a pleasure to be a guest at the lecture series at Silver Bay to discuss ethics in government," Sayward said, noting that the participants were attentive and appreciated the candid conversations.
"It is with open and direct dialogue that we can accomplish much-needed reform in government, she added. "Many thanks to Silver Bay for holding this lecture."
Silver Bay YMCA provides programs for local school children, supports local government and community organizations, and provides community members with financial assistance, as well as their programs for visitors from afar. The YMCA focuses their work in three key areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, & Social Responsibility.
