TICONDEROGA - Ticonderoga High school poster contest winners were recently announced for the 2011 National Foreign Language Week annual event. The theme for this year's school wide event was "Explore Foreign Languages; Join the Revolution." Students were required to place the contest theme within their design and the design had to somehow be a visual representation of that idea. Contestants used mediums of paint, charcoal and mixed media. Color and black and white entries were permitted.
High School art teacher Brittney McCarthy assisted the foreign language students throughout this project. Honorable mention went to Arto Nadeau, most artistic went to Maura Jebb, most unique design went to Jeanette Coon and the overall winner for the poster event was Keegan Tierney. The posters are currently on display at the high school.
