A Tupper Lake woman walked out of a North Country casino with some extra cash last weekend.
The Plattsburgh Press Republican reports that Patti Breault went to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino with the hopes of winning a $2,000 cash giveaway.
She ended up with a little more than $2,000 after winning big - $1.2 million to be exact - on the Mega Millions slot machine.
Breault, who was facing foreclosure on her home while helping her ailing elderly mother, told the newspaper she thought there was "something wrong with the machine."
Breault has worked as a residential supervisor for Sunmount Developmental Disabilities Services for more than three decades and says she doesn't plan on retiring despite winning the big bucks.
