Want to spend a lovely day surrounded by good food and great people, while supporting a worthy cause?
Volunteers are needed for the third annual Tour de Farms, hosted by Rural Vermont, Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and Addison County Relocalization Network. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 19, on the Shoreham Green in Addison County.
The annual late summer event continues to grow each year; as the number of cyclists increases, the need for volunteers becomes greater. If you can help out, call 802-223-7222 or e-mail email@example.com.
In addition to highlighting the late summer beauty and picturesque scenery of the Champlain Valley, Tour de Farms offers cyclists the opportunity to sample a wide variety of locally produced farm fresh foods provided by Addison County's local farms. The Tour de Farms is organized by the Addison Country Relocalization Network (ACORN), Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition, and Rural Vermont. All proceeds benefit the work of these three nonprofits.
Volunteers will receive a free Tour de Farms tee shirt in exchange for a three hour volunteer commitment.
