"We can't wait to swing open the doors and start welcoming customers into the store. We look forward to serving our neighbors in Ticonderoga and the surrounding communities," Store Manager Paul Van Horn said in a press release.
The store is in the former Dockside Landing Boat Center at 9 Commercial Drive. There will be 13 full- and part-time employees.
The store has 25,000 square feet, including a sales floor and support service space. There is also fenced exterior space that offers a display area for merchandise such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.
The company plans grand-opening festivities later this month.
According to the company website, Tractor Supply Company has 1,043 stores in 44 states and more than 15,000 employees. The Tennessee-based company presently has revenues of more than $3 billion annually.
The stores are focused on supplying the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers and ranchers.
It also serves "the maintenance needs of tradesmen, small businesses and people who enjoy the rural lifestyle."
The company offers merchandise for the health, care and growth of horses, livestock and pets. It also carries a selection of agricultural products, tools and hardware.
Also sold are light-truck equipment, work clothes and a line of seasonal products that includes lawn-and-garden power equipment products.
