On Jan. 15 there was a two-car crash which occurred at the intersection of Route 7 and New Haven Road in Ferrisburgh. Nancy Menard, age 58 of Ferrisburgh, was traveling south on Route 7 when William Crocoll, age 82 of North Ferrisburgh, pulled into her path of travel as he turned onto Route 7 from New Haven Road. According to Crocoll, there was a tractor driving up the west side shoulder to the south, blocking his view of Menards vehicle. Crocoll thought it was clear to turn onto Route 7 and head north and was struck by Menards vehicle. It was determined that Crocoll was the at fault operator and will be receiving a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for a violation of Failure to Yield.
