Mayor Clyde Rabideau laid out the facts surrounding a deal to run a water main through the campus of the Adirondack Management Association in a special meeting earlier this week.
“The goal is connect our two new wells that are pumping tremendous amounts of great water from our Adirondack Aquifer into our system and up to Mount Pisgah,” Rabideau said. “It’s the shortest distance between the two points.”
The move, according to Rabideau, makes engineering sense and is the best deal for taxpayers.
“No matter which way you cut it, the rate payer or tax payer comes out ahead.”
Rabideau said the arrangement would ensure that an ample supply of water from two new village wells is pumped to a holding tank that would be constructed on Mount Pisgah.
