MT. TABOR-Members of the Vermont State Police participated in a safety checkpoint located on U.S. Route 7 in Mt. Tabor May 5. Over a 2.5 hour period, troopers made contact with over 330 vehicles.
"Several warnings were issued to motorists for various equipment violations," according to Sgt. Michael Roj of the VSP Traffic Operations-South.
Vehicles entering the checkpoint were evaluated for equipment violations, and checked to ensure proper registration, inspection and occupant restraint.
Additionally troopers provided recommendations to motorists interested in improving highway safety, Roj noted.
