As the sponsor of one of the most popular benefit motorcycle rides in the region, Pat “Wack” Nolan shaved his beard last year in a fundraising challenge. Rumor has it that this year, for the 4th annual Wack’s Ride — scheduled for Aug. 13 — he’ll be targeted in a dunking booth. The event benefits the Make-Wish-Foundation.
The ride begins, rain or shine, at 11 a.m. at the Full Moon Bar on Glen Lake Road in Queensbury. Riders can register at the Full Moon beginning at 10 a.m. The donation is $15 for riders and $10 for passengers.
The ride ends at the Adirondack Bar and Grill on Rt. 149 where there will be raffles, a silent auction, musical entertainment by Street Talk and a spaghetti dinner. Donation for dinner only is $10.
The public is welcome to join the celebration at the Grill beginning at 4 p.m., where there will be family fun for whole family including helicopter rides and a bounce house for children. For details, call 792-3405.
