The Walpole Unitarian Church will hold a Spring Fest on May Day, Saturday, May 1 from 3 to 8 p.m. With family-oriented fun and music.
The festivities will start with a dance around the May Pole at the church's lawn on Union and Main streets.
A music and sing-along with the Putney All-Stars is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. On the porch of Hastings Memorial Parish House. Following this, help build a "kinetic, movable Rube Goldberg" sculpture out of recycled materials. Bring your clean recyclables, cardboard tubes, cans, plastic containers, balls, and we'll build a creation together.
Everyone will share in a special soup and salad supper at 5 p.m., and following this will be a grand piano concert with local composer Cody Michaels at 7 p.m. in the ballroom.
The price is $15 for all events including the concert, with a family price of $20. Dinner is by donation, and concert tickets only are $10.
