WARRENSBURG - Jennifer Ross, 24,was arraigned Dec. 10 in front of Town Justice Richard Nissan for multiple charges linked to marijuana growing and possession.
Police said she grew 16 marijuana plants in a bedroom in her home at 263 River St., where a child was staying, court records say. Police say they seized over a pound of marijuana when they arrested her Dec. 2.
Ross is facing a felony charge of second-degree possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor charge of Unlawful Growing of Cannabis, and another misdemeanor of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and a violation of marijuana possession.
•Judith Tedesco, 40, of Calverton, NY pleaded guilty to seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. In June, police found a small plastic bag containing cocaine in her possession. Judge Nissan sentenced Tedesco to a conditional discharge and fined her $365.
•Gideon Bezio, 20, of High St. Athol was sentenced to three years probation and instructed to pay a fine of $315 by Judge Nissan in a domestic incident. The sentence was an outcome of his guilty plea to Endangering the Welfare of a Child in full satisfaction of charges that included fourth-degree criminal mischief. and third-degree assault. Police said that on Sept. 13 he bit a female on the jaw and broke a number of glass items, all in the presence of a child. Also, police said, he broke the woman's cell phone when she attempted to dial 911.
•Travis Jeffords, 21, Chestertown was arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge. Police tested his breath-alcohol level at .08 percent when he was stopped recently. He was also issued a ticket for a loud exhaust on his vehicle.
