ESSEX COUNTY Essex Countys Women Infant and Children (WIC) program will hold clinics during the month of October at the following locations: Elizabethtown, WIC Office, Oct. 16 1-7; Lake Placid, Shipman Youth Center, Oct. 7 and 28; Port Henry, Knights of Columbus, Oct. 9 and 27; Schroon Lake, Health Center, Oct. 8; Ticonderoga, Methodist Church, Oct. 6, 20, and 22; Keeseville, Methodist Church, Oct. 23; Moriah, Firehouse, Oct. 14; Crown Point, Firehouse, Oct. 15; AuSable Forks, Ambulance Building, Oct. 1; Saranac Lake, Town Hall, Oct. 21. WIC provides milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice and peanut butter to pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. WIC also provides vegetables and fruits to participants over two years old. WIC encourages breastfeeding but for those infants who are not breastfed, infant forumula is provided. Monthly income eligibility for a family of four must be less than $3,269.
