Vermont State Police troopers responded to 1045 Bump Rd. in Clarendon for a reported domestic disturbance involving a firearm Sept. 24. While the complainant was on 911 with dispatchers, it was reported a handgun had been fired.
Troopers arrived moments later and determined Tatia Lewis, 43, fired the weapon in anger in the direction of her husband, Robert, 38, after an escalated verbal argument began.
Robert Lewis refused the leave the residence when requested and his wife shot the weapon, striking a wall within four feet from where her husband was standing. Mrs. Lewis was arrested and charged with First degree aggravated domestic assault.
