The Wild Center announced earlier this week that it has hired a new facilities manager to oversee its 31-acre LEED certified campus.
Dave St. Onge, formerly the Wild Center's senior facilities technician, began working for Tupper Lake's natural history museum in 2006. As facilities manager, he is responsible for the development and maintenance of the 54,000 square foot buildings and systems.
That includes the Wild Center's new renewable energy heating system, which recently received an award for excellence for being the Bioenergy Project of the Year at the Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo.
Before joining the Wild Center, St. Onge was involved in facilities and property management at several North Country businesses, including Tip Top Electrics and Schoolhouse Renovations.
