The Wildcats played the Lucky Star twice this week and came out on top in both games.
In game one, Makayla Denno and Astasia Myler shared the time on the mound. Denno received her 4th win of the season. She also hit two homeruns to help out the Wildcats. One of the homeruns was out of the park. She is the first girl to do this in two years of youth softball. Emily Persons and Gillian Hayden added great defensive plays to help the Wildcats to their victory, 15-5.
In game two, the Wildcats clinched the win again, 15-7. Rebekah Harvey, Denno and Myler pitched for the Wildcats and did a great job. Denno had six strike-outs in her three innings pitched and Myler pitched two scoreless innings to finish out the game. Harvey, Sabrina Roberts, and Persons each had two hits. Denno hit her 5th homerun of the season and added three more RBIs. Myler also added three RBIs for the Wildcats bringing her to 27 RBIs for the season.
As the regular season is wrapping up, the Wildcats are continuing to have success. They will be playing in a single elimination tournament beginning on Wednesday, June 16th at 6pm at Ski Bowl Park in North Creek. There will be a concession stand with food and drinks, so come out, eat dinner and watch the Wildcats work toward another victory.
