It was such a pleasure the first of the week to drive down the street like it was a yellow tunnel, especially as the sun was shining. Most of the leaves are off the trees now, and I saw my first flight of Canadian geese fly over. Then sadness hit on the street at the sudden death of Lauren Choate. He will be greatly missed by many as he was involved for so many years with the mining industry here in Willsboro. Then, in the same week, I found l myself taking a quick trip to the hospital where I spent three to four days. I missed Halloween, but there is always next year,
It was also nice to see the town crews re-doing the skating rink at the Foley/Lee Park, many of our local children do enjoy playing there in all seasons. Hope you noticed Ann and Sam Marcotte's new home improvement.
Elections will be behind us by the time you read this and it will be great not to have those TV ads over and over. Hope you got to see the hay wagon with some of the Republicans going through the community this past weekend encouraging people to get out to vote.
