A sure sign of winter is when we get a good snow storm and lots of things get cancelled, which is in progress as I write my column this week. Many thanks to the town crew that has our downtown area well decorated, the large tree looks beautiful and all the decorated trees from the bridge to the bandstand look so festive at night. More & More decorated homes are popping up each day and makes it a joy to ride through town. Paula Calkins, Norma Goff, Lucille Richard and myself attended a great Soulful Christmas Celebration with the Gospel Choir at Plattsburg State University. It was lively and most enjoyable. The Canadian Pacific Railroad lighted train passed through the area this past week and this is a real delight to view. A few of us had the joy of serving a Soup & Sandwich lunch at Senior Housing this past Sunday, and decorating their community room for the holiday. Reminder to stop in to the Paine Library soon to look over gift items from local artist and craft persons of the area.
