Sorry no column last week, technology and my skills did not do well. Willsboro has had a full array of weather changes in the last several days, first we were once again covered in a blanket of new white snow, a beautiful sight. Followed by very cold weather and then warming taking away much of the snow. so we are back to the dirty look once again. Happy New Year to all, hope you had a wonderful holiday season. This is the time of year when many of our local college students are home on vacation. I noticed that Darrick Pierce was once again at the Drug Store working in the Pharmacy Dept. I had a nice visit with Lindsay Garvey (who is now a teacher) she seems to love her profession. The proud family of Crystal Sayward not only welcomed her home from her second year at Morrisonville State University, but also learned she is on the Deans list. I am sure many more were home, but I did not get to see them. A new year and our new and old town officers take on their local government jobs this week. We welcome Lorie Lincoln Spooner as she becomes our Supervisor. Best wishes to all elected persons. The Willsboro Methodist Church welcomed Barbara Paye into full membership recently. Also wish to remind the community that the monthly Public Supper for the Methodist Church was changed to Wednesday, Jan. 9 due to the holiday. They will be serving Roast Beef, interested persons have the choice of eating in or to get take out. Unfortunately due to tighter State inspection ruling they can no longer make deliveries and maintain the proper temperatures required , but persons picking them up are always welcome, call 963-8912 to place an order. Holidays also brought along the news that Rev. John Hunn & Joan Sloper both spent a few days in the Hospital, we wish them both a full recovery. Ken Stafford is now recovering in the E-Town hospital, and Phil Lawrence is located at Meadow Brook. Birthday Greetings to Cole & Chase Pierce 1/3, Lisa Boardman 1/7, Lacey Ahrent 1/9, Catherine Bigelow 1/10, Betty Jean Cross 1/11, Wayne Feeley 1/12, Marion James1/17, Peggy Hunn 1/18, Ruth Young 1/18.
