Rutland City Hall was evacuated Sept. 26 following a violent "kill" threat made by a teenager.
Police arrested Faith D. Stone, 19, of Rutland. Stone called in the threat of violence via 911.
City Hall personnel were evacuated on Monday afternoon.
Rutland Police officer Raymond LaMoria said that Stone’s threat was called in at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
“She said the word ‘kill’,” LaMoria said. “We didn’t know if it was to say kill herself or other. We erred on the side of caution.”
According to LaMoria, Stone left City Hall before armed police officers arrived, however, she was arrested—unarmed—within minutes of leaving. LaMoria said that Stone had entered the Rutland Courthouse and asked a deputy to shoot her.
